The International Law of Armed conflict Course took place on 13-17 March 2023, at the Peace and conflict studies school in Karen.
The five-day hosted course is sponsored by the Canadian Government and has 31 participants from various parts of the world namely; Botswana, Ghana, Jordan, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.
The course is intended to provide the participants with a broader understanding of Humanitarian Law/Law of Armed Conflict by examining legal obligations under the Geneva and Hague Conventions, as well as a host of other legal instruments that apply in the conduct of military operations.
