VISIT BY THE FRENCH FORCE COMMANDER IN DJIBOUTI

On February 26, 2025, the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) hosted Maj General Sebastien Vallette, the French Force Commander in Djibouti. The Force Commander was warmly welcomed by the Colonel Plans and Programmes IPSTC, Colonel C. Aritho.

The visit included a briefing by the Chief of Staff Lieutenant Colonel Tobias Lyle, highlighting IPSTC’s operations, key initiatives, and recent developments, such as the French-language All Arms Search Course. Both parties emphasized continued collaboration for mutual benefits in peace support training.

The FC also visited the Humanitarian Peace Support School (HPSS), where the Commandant, Colonel John Rongoei briefed the delegation on the institution’s training, especially in countering Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). The FC expressed gratitude for HPSS’s role in IED training, while the Commandant HPSS thanked the French instructors for their ongoing support.

Present during the visit were Colonel Karani, Lieutenant Colonel Christophe Giovanni, Lieutenant Colonel Dennis Brissett, Lieutenant Colonel Charles Serriere, Lieutenant Colonel Kaptuway, and Major Jullien Mercier.
