CAREER GUIDANCE AT EMBAKASI GARRISON SECONDARY SCHOOL

On 14 May 2025, a team from the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC), led by Lt Col Gekara Onsongo, visited Embakasi Garrison Secondary School for a career guidance session.

They were warmly received by the Deputy Principal and staff, with the event kicking off with a flag-raising ceremony and introductions.
The team engaged students through motivational talks, interactive sessions, and group discussions based on class levels. Topics included career planning, academic performance, and life skills such as decision-making and overcoming challenges like drug abuse and early pregnancies.

Students had the opportunity to ask questions, share their aspirations, and receive tailored advice from the IPSTC team. Interns from IPSTC also shared personal stories and words of encouragement, creating a relatable and impactful experience for the learners.

The day concluded with a Q&A forum, a gifting session, and a symbolic tree planting ceremony to mark the partnership. It was a successful and inspiring event that left students empowered and better informed about their futures
