FEMALE MILITARY OFFICERS COURSE

The Female Military Officers Course was conducted at the Peace and Conflict Support Studies (PCSS), Karen, Nairobi from 12 to 23 Nov 18.

The aim of the course was to equip female military officers with the knowledge and tools needed to enable them to meaningfully implement UN policies and guidance when deployed to a UN peacekeeping operation, and in supporting mission activities related to protecting women, children and civilians from all violence to include conflict-related sexual violence.

Thirty eight female military officers were drawn from thirty five different countries The course was sponsored by UN women, Japan and Finland.
