The Explosive Hazard Awareness Training - Training of Trainers (EHAT-TOT) course, sponsored by the British Peace Support Team-Africa (BPST-A), was officially opened at the Kenneth Kaunda Peace Support Training Centre (KKPTC) in Zambia by the Commandant of the school, Brigadier Banda.
EHA ZAMBIA 2
The course, which includes 19 participants from the Engineering and Infantry units of the Zambia Defence Force (ZDF), is being delivered by a Mobile Training Team (MTT) of instructors from BPST-A and the Humanitarian Peace Support School from 10 February 2025 to 21 February 2025.
EHA ZAMBIA 4
In his opening remarks, the Commandant expressed gratitude to BPST-A and the International Peace Support Training Centre (IPSTC) for offering such vital training to the ZDF, particularly at a time when improvised explosive devices (IEDs) have become a weapon of choice for terrorists in the region. He further appreciated the support from BPST-A and IPSTC in strengthening the capacity of ZDF instructors, emphasizing that this will significantly contribute to the Force's ability to independently train its personnel.
EHA ZAMBIA 3
The Commandant urged participants to fully engage with the training, ensuring that they acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to share with their fellow soldiers within the ZDF.
