IPSTC'S PEACE AND SECURITY RESEARCH DEPARTMENT COLLABORATES WITH JAPANESE THINK TANK

IPSTC welcomed a team from Sasakawa Peace Foundation, an independent think tank based in Tokyo.

The visit hinged on discussing " The Nature of Emerging Conflicts in Africa: Underpinning Future Peace Support Operations that Embrace Japan's Contribution."

Their visit began by giving a courtesy call to our Director, Brigadier Joyce Sitienei, after which they were given an extensive brief of the Centre and its operations, setting the pace for talks with our Peace and Security Research Department, led by the Head of Research, Col. D N Ngochi.
 
Fruitful deliberations were held, in line with enabling them to realize their focus on forging new paths towards a more harmonious, sustainable and inclusive future.

Their visit culminated with a tour to our Humanitarian Peace Support School, where they got to understand the activities we undertake at operational and tactical levels. Areas of collaboration were also discussed at length, on the same.
