𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐓𝐑𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐑 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐌𝐌𝐄

The United Nations Triangular Partnership Programme (TPP) Heavy Engineering Equipment Training of Trainers Course is commencing at the Humanitarian Peace Support School. Over the next six weeks, participants from Ghana, Zambia, Uganda, and Kenya will undergo training facilitated by highly qualified trainers from Switzerland and Ghana.

 

United Nations Triangular Partnership Programme (TPP) Heavy Engineering Equipment Training of Trainers Course is tailored to provide participants with the skills to instruct others to operate and maintain Heavy Engineering Equipment while executing engineering tasks, which will not only address the UN/AU needs in the stabilization phase of conflict, but also addresses the national construction needs within the continent.

 

The Chief Guest, UN Chief of Division of Special Activities, Ms. Vanessa Kent in her address reiterated the significance of this course. “The TPP training of trainers course has enabled the graduates of the programme to bring their training back to home countries where they can further contribute to both national capacities and to a robust pool of highly qualified personnel ready to deploy or train others when needed. The triangular partnership programme has proven to be a particularly effective partnership modality in this regard one the United nations is proud to support,” she affirmed.
